It's been called the "funniest musical ever written."

Well, the kids from the Book of Mormon might disagree, but for many people A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum is the classic musical comedy.

Now, Off The Wall Theatre along with David Paris put its slightly maniacal, off-kilter, and outrageous touch on this wonderful show.

Artistic Director Dale Gutzman has directed and/or acted in five productions of this award winning comedy, including one he directed with world famous actor Mark Rylance. This production wass fast and funny "baggy pants" burlesque. There were leggy girls, quick changes, breathless chases, and a plethora of jaunty tunes by Broadway Master Stephen Sondheim.

Perfect for the Holidays, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum had the audience falling out of their chairs with laughter, humming along with the songs, and at Off The Wall, becoming Part of the Act!

The stunning cast included regulars from the Off The Wall family like Jeremy C. Welter, Dale Gutzman, Lawrence J. Lukasavage, Patrick McCann, Brittni Hesse, Kristin Pagenkopf, Mark Ninneman, Barbara Zaferos, Sandy Lewis and Barbara Weber.... and some of Milwaukee's most talented new young performers: Zachery Dean, Danny Slattery, Nicholas Callan Haubner, Jennifer Lofy, Amber Templin, Cory Klein, Ava Thomann, and Bryson Langer

Under the Technical wizardry of David Roper, the entire tiny OFF THE WALL space was turned into the streets of Rome.
